By Land
If you put your compass point on Gulf Shores/Orange Beach (Don't worry. We're not going to ask you to do geometry) and opened it just the littlest bit, you'd see how close we really are to your town. Cities like Atlanta, Chattanooga, Memphis, Nashville and Houston are all just a short day's drive away. And if you live in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Montgomery or Jackson, you can be here in a few hours.
Once you hop off I-65, I-10 or Highway 98, the Gulf Shores Parkway and Beach Express make it easy as pie to cruise straight down to the beach. By Air
If flying is more your speed, most major airlines service the nearby Mobile and Pensacola airports. Direct flights are available from some cities. Both airports are about an hour's drive from the beach, so once you land you'll want to rent a car. A convertible, maybe? Let the warm breeze blow through you hair as you get closer and closer to that crystal blue water.
By Sea
Arriving by sea is easy, too. Travel the Intracoastal Waterway to the Gulf Coast. The Tennessee-Tombigbee links the Intracoastal Waterway to several river ports in the Midwest. Our Marinas & Watersports page has more information on area marinas.
