You’re probably asking, “How do I sign up for this adventure?” Keep in mind all flights are weather permitting. There are different experiences you can choose from, ranging from 20 to 60 minutes. During each tour, you have the opportunity to take the reins and personally fly the craft. My experience was not only exhilarating but also gave me a sense of freedom. Once you realize you are high above the beautiful landscape of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, you quickly forget about life on the ground below.
This experience is full of adventure and is also a great way to reconnect with nature. From above, you may see dolphins and rays and, depending on the length of your flight, the Fort Morgan Peninsula. I had never thought of connecting with nature through flight, but after this experience, I think of it often in my travels.
Parasailing & Helicopter tours
When else will you have an opportunity to fly like a bird over the beautiful beaches of Gulf Shores? As it turns out, besides Magni Gyflight, you have options. With Lost Bay Helicopters, flights start at seven minutes and can last as long as 40 minutes, depending on the tour you choose. You can also soar through the air and then take a dip in the Gulf with a parasail ride.
If there is one thing I know for certain, it is the fact that I will never look at Alabama's Beaches the same. I now find myself wondering how things look from above. The views from the beach are astounding, but when you experience it from high in the sky, it’s truly life changing and rewarding. I’m now much more appreciative of the beautiful coastline that surrounds Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.
