Watching the Blue Angels soar over the beach is an unforgettable sight that everyone deserves to experience when visiting the Gulf Coast.

The Blue Angels are a highly talented flight demonstration squadron of the U.S. Navy. Their flight demonstrations are quite a mesmerizing display. Although they are based in Pensacola, you can often spot them flying over the waters of Orange Beach and Gulf Shores.

Every year, the Blues offer a Beach Air Show in July and Homecoming Show in November. Both shows are free. The Beach Air Show takes place at Pensacola Beach, and the Homecoming Show is onboard NAS Pensacola. The roaring of the engines and smoke streams emitted from the planes make these two displays a must-see. We encourage everyone to make the quick trip to Pensacola to witness these amazing pilots and iconic aircraft.

From March through November, the Blue Angels perform at air shows across the country. On Sunday afternoons and evenings, it's not uncommon to see the Blues do a beach flyover as they return from their shows and head toward their home base in Pensacola. While we can't guarantee that the Blue Angels will fly over Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, sometimes they buzz our beaches on their way home from shows. Here are dates that they could possibly be seen from our shores while flying back to their base in Pensacola. You are more likely to see them the further east you go!
