Whether you are ready to hit the links and test your skills on the spectacular 27-hole course, or perhaps, looking for a bit of rest and relaxation, you can be sure there is something for everyone at Peninsula. Located next to Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge along the Fort Morgan peninsula between Mobile Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, this spectacular golf resort offers the whole family an experience unlike anywhere else along the Gulf Coast.

Play All Three of Peninsula’s Golf Courses
Golfers visiting Peninsula can play a course that offers the ultimate “risk-reward” experience. While many of the holes on this course may appear benign, don’t let their appearance on the scorecard or map fool you, as several holes can easily ruin your card — afterall, there is a reason Peninsula is consider one of the best golf courses in Gulf Shores.
Each day, golfers can play a combination of the three 9-hole courses, each with a diverse collection of holes that will challenge all standards. The Marsh, Lakes, and Cypress courses were all designed by Earl Stone, focusing on offering a constantly changing variety of golf and visual appeal. The three distinctive courses create an unforgettable golfing experience that you cannot help but fall in love with, and a return visit will likely be on the cards as you contemplate how to better your score around this incredible resort.

The Marsh, 9-Hole Golf Course
The Marsh course offers quite the challenge from the tee. Many of the fairways are narrow, and that “risk-reward” experience is epitomized here as the fairways tend to get narrower as you approach the green. The 2nd hole is the most difficult, as per the scorecard, measuring well over 600 yards from the tips. With water hazards in play down both sides of the fairway, accuracy is critical to walk away from this green with your card intact. The Marsh’s 6th hole is drivable for many from the tee, but be aware of the water down the left and sand protecting the front right of the green.

The Lakes, 9-Hole Golf Course
For those who have nightmares over golf course water hazards, the Lakes course may give you a few sleepless nights. With water on every hole, the Lakes is aptly named, creating a challenging yet eye-catching experience. Precise ball striking is crucial on this course. While you could be forgiven for admiring the epic panoramic scenery throughout these nine holes, your focus must remain on ensuring you keep the ball in play.
The iconic 6th and 7th hole offer back-to-back par 5s, allowing golfers to pick up one or two strokes before arriving on the 9th tee with the elevated green in the distance, creating a real treat for every golfer.

The Cypress, 9-Hole Golf Course
The Cypress course is equally attractive, and while it is the longest of the three courses at Peninsula, it is perhaps the most scorable, with more space to hit driver to create scoring opportunities. Undulating greens can create a challenge for even the best putters, and the Cypress greens are certainly not for the faint-hearted — particularly when it comes to the 2nd hole.
