Peninsula's Marsh Hole No. 3
in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach
There’s no shortage of championship golf sprinkled along Alabama Beaches, and Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club in Gulf Shores is no exception. Deemed one of the “most memorable and enjoyable” courses in the southeast, Peninsula offers 27 holes and more than 7,000 yards of play. The course is rated a coveted 4.5 stars by Golf Digest and is ideal for golfers of all skill levels.

The course is nestled along the Fort Morgan Peninsula near the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, an undisturbed nature preserve with hundreds of migratory birds, nesting sea turtles and other wildlife. The serene surroundings set the tone for a day on the greens, playing one (or all three) of Peninsula’s nine-hole courses.
The pro at Peninsula says hole number 3 is a long par four and requires a tee shot to the left center of the fairway. A waste area and three trees guard a large green which slopes from back to front.
