Use Those Vacation Days! Celebrate 2021 Plan For Vacation Day
A new year means a fresh start and much to look forward to. What better time to plan your 2021 vacation than now…with 365 days ahead of you?
Whether you're ready to travel now or later, join us on January 26 for National Plan For Vacation Day. Celebrated on the last Tuesday of January, we’re setting this day aside to encourage our friends, family and visitors to commit to taking their time off for the rest of the year at the start of the year. Not only will you more likely use your vacation days, but you’ll have something to look forward to as well.
Setting aside a few hours (or a whole day) to plan out your year will help make the most of your vacation time, especially when coordination of more than one person’s time must be allocated.
Use the following tips to make the most of your designated travel planning time.
- Go ahead and check with your employer, spouse’s employer and anyone else that will need to confirm how much time off is available, as well as any restricted travel periods.
- Gather your calendar with possible dates marked to be considered for vacation.
- Don’t forget to put activities for the kiddos on your calendar: sporting events you can’t miss, school holidays, spring break, etc. This will ensure you don’t miss the opportunity to take a long weekend somewhere along the way when the kids have a random Monday off.
