Beaches

During your first day here on the Alabama Gulf Coast, you’ll likely arrive mid-day to late afternoon to check in to your conference location. Once you’ve settled into your room, take advantage of the rest of the day and hit the beach! Sink your toes in the sugar-white sand and listen to the waves, build sandcastles, fly a kite and play in the surf. Then, head over to Academy Sports + Outdoors or local Gulf Shores souvenir shops to get all the gear you need for the ideal beach day! However, be sure to be mindful of the Leave Only Footprints regulations. All beach gear must be removed from the beaches by one hour after sunset.

Attractions

Day two will likely be your first full day in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. If your meeting agenda allows, split your day in half and spend the first part on the Alabama beaches and the other half exploring the area! The Wharf is the perfect place for everyone in your group to enjoy and is filled with activities fit for every age.  Looking for an off-shore excursion? Step aboard a dolphin cruise or go for a sunset kayaking trip at Gulf State Park! 

You may want to explore some of our trails in the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail System that offers varied ecosystems and the options to walk, jog, or bike. Another fun exploration option is our Backwater Blueway where you can kayak, canoe, or paddleboard a host of waterways.

We recommend planning at least one lunch and one dinner out during your Gulf Shores and Orange Beach vacation.
