2025 Winter Showcase Series: Tale Tellin' Southern Style

As part of the 2025 Winter Showcase Series presented by Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism, please join us for this presentation from local author and historian Harriet Outlaw.

Nothing says southern storytelling like a lazy Sunday afternoon on the porch. Harriet Brill Outlaw is a Southern folklorist who has gathered some of her favorite tales in one volume. Within these pages are the tales she has heard throughout her life – of course, embellished as any storyteller does.

Take a walk down a lane lined with oak trees draped with Spanish Moss, take a rocking chair on the porch and listen to the stories painting the image of Southern Tale Tellin’.

Harriet will offer attendees a special price for her collector edition of Tale Tellin' of $40 ($55 list price). She will also have some of her other books available for purchase, Haunted Baldwin County, Alabama and Foley for $20.
