2025 Winter Showcase Series: Orange Beach Wildlife Center : From Rehab to Release

As part of the 2025 Winter Showcase Series presented by Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism, please join us for this presentation from Melissa Vinson, Coastal Programs Coordinator.

Follow along as Orange Beach Wildlife Center discusses the process of rescue, rehab, and release of a great horned owl. Hear about their mission and their future plans.

Spotlight before the scheduled presentation starting at 10:15: Get seated a little early to hear from Jessica Fairley, Africatown Heritage House Manager, about the Clotilda exhibition. The Exhibition at the Africatown Heritage House is a blending of museum work and community. This Africatown community was founded by Clotilda descendants and African Americans who resided in the area prior to Clotilda’s arrival. The new award-winning exhibition at Africatown Heritage House gives visitors a unique experience in learning about the Clotilda, it’s survivors, their descendants and the community that still lives.
