2025 Winter Showcase Series: Weeks Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve

As part of the 2025 Winter Showcase Series presented by Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism, please join us for this presentation from Cory Powell and Johanna Gertsch. 

Estuaries are critical ecosystems along our coastlines – buffering storm surge, improving water quality, and providing critical habitat for species we rely on, including fish, shrimp, and blue crabs. In this showcase, we will discuss the beautiful Weeks Bay estuary and how it is studied, managed, and protected through a partnership between the Alabama Department of Natural Resources and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
