Nineteenth Century Cooking Demonstration

Join us Saturday, May 3, for an adventure into early 1800s foodways! This unique demonstration will help visitors learn about what might have been on the daily menu for the residents of the town of Blakeley and how they gathered ingredients and prepared their meals. This enlightening, interactive, and fun program will help visitors understand the lives of those who once resided at Blakeley by discovering one of the most fundamental aspects of their daily routines.
Our presenter, Olivia Hansen, is a veteran of living history programming. She has been involved with these types of presentations for over a decade at numerous historical sites across the nation, including Thomas Jeffersons Monticello, George Washingtons Mount Vernon and Colonial Williamsburg.
$5 for adults and $3 for kids ages 6-12.
