Gulf Coast Archaeology: University of South Alabama's Expeditions into the Past

A “greatest hits” of archaeological research that has transformed knowledge of human history, this presentation celebrates some of the highlights from more than fifty years of archaeological research along the Gulf Coast by the University of South Alabama and the Center for Archaeological Studies. These archaeological investigations have transformed knowledge of human history on the Alabama Gulf Coast from the Ice Age until recently. Each archaeological site, from surface collections to premiere archaeological preserves, offers clues to our past.
