We rented this property last minute for Spring Break. The property management company responded quickly to questions during the rental process. We enjoyed our stay so much, we extended our stay an extra day and they were very helpful and nice!

The location of the property is great if you want to be away from the “congestion”. The beach access was wonderful...a short walk through the dunes and you’re there! The fact that we could bring our dog was the deal clincher for us!

The description of the property needs to be updated a little. There is no wooden boardwalk to the beach, but the path is clear through the dunes. The pictures of the inside of the property are accurate, and amenities were accurately listed, however the outside pictures are not current. The elements are cruel to the outside of any beach house, and the outside of Birdcage needs some overdue TLC. There is rotten siding and trim, and the stairs on the back side of the deck need to be inspected for safety (first step down is a doozie if you’re carrying items to the beach). Still, we definitely plan on returning to Birdcage again soon because it is a cool house on the beach in a great location that lets us bring our family pet!

We stayed in the Birdcage for five days. This place is comfortable and relaxing. It’s away from the busiest parts of Gulf Shores, but not too far away. It feels as though you’re on a private beach. I would, and have, recommend this place to anyone.

The location is hard to beat. Footsteps away from the beach, the view from the living room and porch was breathtaking. When we first walked into the house it’s a unique open design. We couldn’t believe all the space. I love where the washer and dryer was located. The house is really nice. Our only complaint was that the floors needs some maintenance. The board by the shower was missing, the sink handles were missing pieces, the lights fixtures in the bathroom with the 2 beds needs replacing. The outside porch walls were rotted, pieces were missing. The house needs some repair and Tlc. It’s a beautiful house.

This was a great house with wonderful views and the personal beach access is awesome!

Had so much fun. Place was clean. Had everything we needed.

This was our first vacation to Gulf shores and we were so pleasantly surprised at how nice the beach is. We picked the Birdcage location because of the location and they allowed our dogs to stay. The house is older and could use some work on the outside, especially on the porch. The inside is so charming and unique! The house was very clean upon arrival. You can not beat the location of this house! The beach is just a few steps from the house and this part of the beach is not crowded. Everyday we had at least 100 feet (if not more) between us and the neighbors beach canopies. We can not wait to return to the Birdcage for another relaxing beach weekend!
