The location is hard to beat. Footsteps away from the beach, the view from the living room and porch was breathtaking. When we first walked into the house it’s a unique open design. We couldn’t believe all the space. I love where the washer and dryer was located. The house is really nice. Our only complaint was that the floors needs some maintenance. The board by the shower was missing, the sink handles were missing pieces, the lights fixtures in the bathroom with the 2 beds needs replacing. The outside porch walls were rotted, pieces were missing. The house needs some repair and Tlc. It’s a beautiful house.

This was a great house with wonderful views and the personal beach access is awesome!

This was our first vacation to Gulf shores and we were so pleasantly surprised at how nice the beach is. We picked the Birdcage location because of the location and they allowed our dogs to stay. The house is older and could use some work on the outside, especially on the porch. The inside is so charming and unique! The house was very clean upon arrival. You can not beat the location of this house! The beach is just a few steps from the house and this part of the beach is not crowded. Everyday we had at least 100 feet (if not more) between us and the neighbors beach canopies. We can not wait to return to the Birdcage for another relaxing beach weekend!

This house never disappoints. They make small improvements every year, but this is truly a "beach shack." Highly recommend if you are looking for a laid back beach experience. Don't recommend for a bougie beach experience.

While this unit is showing its age externally, the location,proximity to the beach and privacy is great. We always enjoy the views from the deck.
