We had the best time at this sweet little property! We had a few of the same things as previous reviews, a brief encounter with some ants, some lingering dog hair, splinters from the deck but overall were very happy with our stay. It says pet friendly in the title so we knew as pet owners the hair never really goes away. However there was some on the comforters and pillow shams that matched, but the sheets and fresh pillow cases were spotless! A quick lint roll and we were good to go.. the couch had a bit more but we asked for additional sheets to cover them and had them within the hour!! The deck is in pretty bad shape and is the home’s exterior but for the price and location we just made sure to wear shoes on the deck and we over looked the cosmetic stuff! I messaged about a few ants and got an immediate response but after we killed the couple we saw no more came back! It’s July, a couple ants are no big deal! The AC worked great, the beach access was clean and easy to manage, we were all very comfortable the house was so spacious and each message I sent was responded to quickly and so professionally and kindly! We will for sure be checking this home’s availability for our next trip!

We always enjoy staying here. The ocean view is amazing, and the location is away from the crowds. Additionally, this is not far from to the Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge along the beach.

We rented this property last minute for Spring Break. The property management company responded quickly to questions during the rental process. We enjoyed our stay so much, we extended our stay an extra day and they were very helpful and nice!

The location of the property is great if you want to be away from the “congestion”. The beach access was wonderful...a short walk through the dunes and you’re there! The fact that we could bring our dog was the deal clincher for us!

The description of the property needs to be updated a little. There is no wooden boardwalk to the beach, but the path is clear through the dunes. The pictures of the inside of the property are accurate, and amenities were accurately listed, however the outside pictures are not current. The elements are cruel to the outside of any beach house, and the outside of Birdcage needs some overdue TLC. There is rotten siding and trim, and the stairs on the back side of the deck need to be inspected for safety (first step down is a doozie if you’re carrying items to the beach). Still, we definitely plan on returning to Birdcage again soon because it is a cool house on the beach in a great location that lets us bring our family pet!

We stayed in the Birdcage for five days. This place is comfortable and relaxing. It’s away from the busiest parts of Gulf Shores, but not too far away. It feels as though you’re on a private beach. I would, and have, recommend this place to anyone.

The location is hard to beat. Footsteps away from the beach, the view from the living room and porch was breathtaking. When we first walked into the house it’s a unique open design. We couldn’t believe all the space. I love where the washer and dryer was located. The house is really nice. Our only complaint was that the floors needs some maintenance. The board by the shower was missing, the sink handles were missing pieces, the lights fixtures in the bathroom with the 2 beds needs replacing. The outside porch walls were rotted, pieces were missing. The house needs some repair and Tlc. It’s a beautiful house.

This was a great house with wonderful views and the personal beach access is awesome!
