GULF SHORES AND ORANGE BEACH, ALA. – Kicking off Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism’s 25th anniversary is the 2018 Welcome Center Lecture and Demonstration Series on week days Jan. 15 to Feb. 28. Winter guests and locals can start the new year by diving deeper into coastal Alabama’s vibrant art scene, culture, nature and history.
Art demos will take place on various days from 10 a.m. to noon at the Orange Beach Welcome Center (23685 Perdido Beach Blvd.), while lectures will take place each week day at 2 p.m. at the Gulf Shores Welcome Center (3459 Gulf Shores Parkway).
“Each year, attendees leave the lectures and demos informed and inspired to discover the destination from a different perspective,” said Kim Chapman, director of hospitality and information for the tourism bureau. “This annual series showcases our welcome centers as a resource to learn about new adventures in the area while reconnecting with long-standing attractions and opportunities.”
