GULF SHORES AND ORANGE BEACH, ALA. – The 2021 NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship will be back at Gulf Place in Gulf Shores, Alabama, May 7-9 and will air live on ESPN. With student-athlete safety at the forefront during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, public ticket sales and media will not be allowed on site for the championship. Due to the site size, the need for physical distancing and NCAA’s COVID-19 protocols, only participating teams will be allowed ticket access.

“We, along with the city of Gulf Shores and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, are in full agreement with the NCAA to limit the number of people on site for the 2021 championship to protect student-athletes,” said Beth Gendler, chief operating officer for Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism and Gulf Shores | Orange Beach Sports & Events. “We look forward to and remain hopeful for welcoming fans back in 2022 for another exciting beach volleyball championship.”

Fans are encouraged to watch all the action unfold live on the ESPN family of networks from Alabama’s beaches with the championship match taking place Sunday, May 9, at 12:30 p.m. CDT.
