Wildlife Along the Back Bay Blueway
While exploring the Coastal Alabama Back Bay Blueway, you’re likely to encounter an array of native wildlife. Alligators, turtles, and dolphins hang out in our waterways, and you may even spot a few land creatures like deer and bobcats on nearby banks. Keep your eyes peeled for birds flying over, resting on the shores, or diving into the water. If you do spot any wildlife on your excursion, do not disturb or feed them, but feel free to snap photos!
Kayaks & Paddle Boards Rentals
Our area is home to many local businesses that rent kayaks and paddle boards to those looking to hit the water. These rentals will include all the gear you need, such as paddles and life jackets. Many of these rental companies will also drop off the equipment at your accommodation or desired launch site.
Kayak Tours
If you’re looking for a more immersive paddling experience, book a guided tour. A certified instructor will safely lead you throughout our waterways and share information about the natural wonders you’ll see while exploring the area.
